Education: Attending Prince Georges Community College pursuing a degree in Exercise and Health Sciences
Length of Service: With CFPAF Since August, 2010
Why did you want to work for the Cystic Fibrosis Patient Assistance Foundation?
I felt compelled to work for the CFPAF because of the commitment they have to CF patients. I was inspired to become a part of the CFPAF after attending a CFPAF presentation, which described the work and level of commitment the CFPAF team provides for CF patients needing help affording their medications.
I have worked for twelve years in many areas of customer service related to health care. My areas of expertise include health and dental insurance reimbursement, claims processing, and order management in pharmacy operations. I approach my work as a benefits educator. I have attended health fairs to answer basic questions about health plans and benefits. I have motivated and empowered patients to understand their benefits and optimize existing resources.
For Medications...
For CF Patients...
How do you see the importance of your role with the Cystic Fibrosis Patient Assistance Foundation?
It is my goal to educate and inform patients about the programs that will alleviate the financial burden from their shoulders. As a primary point of contact for the CFPAF, I play a supporting role to our team of case managers and I am committed to making sure prospective applicants are provided as much program information and assistance as possible.
If you had one thing that you would like to say to our customers, what would that be?
It is my honor and privilege to assist CF patients in overcoming the burdens associated with the costs of medications. I look forward to talking with you.
