The Cystic Fibrosis Scholarship Foundation
The Cystic Fibrosis Scholarship Foundation is a scholarship program for students with cystic fibrosis enrolling in an undergraduate college program or a vocational school in the fall. Cystic Fibrosis Scholarship Foundation was founded by a parent of a young adult with cystic fibrosis and is neither part of nor funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded and may be used for tuition, books, and room and board, for up to one year of study. Students may reapply the following year for an additional award, but are not guaranteed future awards.
Awards are sent directly to the institution that the student is attending. Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of financial need, academic achievement, and leadership. Learn More!
Elizabeth Nash Foundation Scholarship Program
The Elizabeth Nash Foundation (ENF) awards scholarships to assist students with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees. Grants ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 are awarded annually. Since the program's inception in 2005, thirty-five grants have been awarded. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of demonstrated need and accomplishments.
Grants are made each year to people with cystic fibrosis who exhibit clear academic goals and a commitment to participate in activities outside the classroom. Grants are made directly to the academic institution to assist in covering the cost of tuition and fees. Learn More!
CFCareForward Scholarship
In the United States, Abbott has been helping people with cystic fibrosis (CF) manage their health for more than 20 years. CFCareForward program expands this tradition, offering comprehensive support to cystic fibrosis families through nutritional, educational and financial resources.
Recognizing the financial burdens that exist for many cystic fibrosis families, Abbott developed the CFCareForward Scholarship to honor young adults with cystic fibrosis as they pursue goals of post-high school education. Since 1993, they have awarded more than 500 scholarships, totaling more than $1,500,000 in educational funding.
CFCareForward continually seeks new ways to support the cystic fibrosis community. Over the past 15 years, they have been consistently inspired by the outstanding attitudes, accomplishments and spirit of their Scholarship winners. Scholarships have been awarded based on applicants' creativity, academic excellence, community involvement, financial need and ability to serve as a role model for the cystic fibrosis community.
